Our wedding site is north of main Clearwater Beach where it is less crowded. From a simple elopement to a huge celebration, Clearwater Beach is a perfect spot for destination weddings. There is no permit fee here if your wedding will have less than 50 guests. This is a year round tourist beach and sunset time is less populated. North Clearwater Beach is on Avalon St where many beach weddings take place year round. There is a public parking lot adjacent to this spot. There are sand dunes as you enter the beach area, and the beach is wide and the water is inviting. There are private condos and apartments you can rent out near this spot. The closest location for accommodations to the beach wedding spot is the Palm Pavilion Inn which is a quaint and convenient place to stay. You can just walk a short distance out to the beach where your ceremony will take place.
Somerset Street is a secluded spot on Clearwater Beach further north than Avalon Street location and is used for elopements and very intimate beach wedding ceremonies. There are private condos and rentals within walking distance of this location.
Sand Key Beach is adjacent to main Clearwater Beach to the south and is a unique beach park setting. It is actually a barrier island and has been a very popular spot for weddings for many years. Recently it has had some issues with overgrowth and the sand quality has deteriorated in the past few years. It is managed and operated by the county and there is a beach permit fee required depending on the size of your wedding averaging 200.00. The wedding spots are boardwalks which are reserved for each wedding and may be important to some couples seeking a more secluded spot to hold their wedding ceremony.
