Clearwater Beach Wedding Permits Clearwater Beach is a very popular beach and does require a beach wedding permit in order to be able to be married on their long stretch of beach. There are 6 spots along their stretch of beach that allow reservations for a beach wedding. The wedding permits are approved for a one hour time frame. Two hours for set up, one for the actual ceremony, and one for the breakdown of your beach wedding setting. The fee is 100.00 on any day of the week. Holiday weddings are not allowed at this beach, so there are exceptions. They only allow one wedding per spot per day to be reserved for a beach wedding, so please keep this in mind and reserve your beach wedding package early. There are two spots we frequently use which are preferred by many couples due to the landscape and a little further away from the main crowds. The time to process your beach wedding permit varies as to how back logged the permit office is. It may take a few days to a week or more.  If you are planning a beach wedding in central Florida and are searching for a small beach town location Indian Rocks may be the beach for you. Quieter and more laid back than a commercialized beach like Clearwater, this spot is a good choice for a weekday wedding as it does get busier on the weekends and parking may pose a bit of a problem. Sunset time or early morning would be ideal here as these are the times when the public beach is less busy. There are two boardwalks here to head down to the beach from the parking lot. There are blue cabanas set up during the day, but they disappear at the end of the late afternoon. There is no beach wedding permit here if you have a beach wedding count of under 50 people. Many beach weddings have taken place here and there are many beach cottages, condos and accommodations to choose from depending on availability and budget.
 Sand Key Beach is a beach wedding spot that is reserved by boardwalk numbers. It is a public beach so there may be a few people on the beach. There are a total of 8 boardwalk sites and also the rock jetty location which is preferred by couples wanting some unique pictures around the rock jetty landscape. Boardwalk number 8 is towards the back of the Sheraton Sand Key Hotel which some couples may choose to hold a reception in one of their banquet rooms or a more low key reception in their bistro. Any size wedding can be held here, but please be aware permit fees may change. The average permit fee is 267.50. Beach wheelchairs are available for rent here also. This beach is located in the Clearwater area, and the sunsets are just beautiful here!

A beach wedding on Indian Rocks Beach is a favorite location for all our beach wedding packages. It is situated between Clearwater and St Pete areas, and does not require a permit fee at this time if your beach wedding is 50 or less. Weekdays are the best days to take advantage of this wedding friendly beach and sunsets are beautiful here. It does become busy on the weekends so keep in mind to plan for a sunset wedding as most of the crowds are leaving by then. There are boardwalks that can be used to walk down to your ceremony which is a plus for brides. There are many cottages and condos to rent if you are a destination bride, and some have allowed beach weddings to take place at their location.  The usual time on the beach for a beach wedding whether its an elopement or a bigger guest list is one hour. This gives the couple time for the ceremony to be performed, congratulations from family and friends, other beach traditions such as a sea shell blessing and photography. Florida beach weddings are typically short and sweet although at times there can be a cake and champagne to extend the time a little longer. Some couples have a reception to run to after the beach ceremony so this fits right in with their plans.
